ZENITH “LA TORTUE”

Rare 18k gold Zenith Captain De-Luxe Chronometer watch from 1968. This model is also known as La Tortue because of the case’s resemblance to a tortoise shell. Heavy 18k gold case is in like new condition, as is gold-colored dial and hands.

Zenith cal.2542PC automatic chronometer movement is fully serviced. The original crown is still intact. Case diameter is 38 mm.

The watch has a high-quality suede leather strap from our own collection. Original Zenith buckle with the Z logo. The watch also comes with the original Zenith black watch box.

The watch has a 12-month service guarantee.

The Zenith Captain De-Luxe ”La Tortue” model was in production only in 1968. Manfred Rössler mentions this watch in his book Zenith, Swiss watch manufacture: ”Peculiar case…only a few pieces were produced.”
