Rare Tudor Oyster Prince Submariner 200m ref.7928 from 1967. Original “meters-first” tritium “gilt-silver” dial and hands. Bezel with tritium dot is in good condition. The watch has been fully serviced and is still waterproof. The watch houses a FEF cal.390 automatic movement. The case is manufactured by Rolex, diameter 40 mm. The interior of the case back is stamped with 7928, II/67. The watch comes with an NOS Tudor ref.7836/358 steel bracelet.

The Tudor Oyster Prince Submariner is a “lightweight” version of the Rolex Submariner model ref. 5513. The case, case back, crown, crystal, hands and often also the strap are nearly identical in the Rolex and Tudor Submariner models. The differences are found in the dial and the movement. Tudor Submariner models are rarer than similar Rolex models. This is thought to be largely due to the fact that the Tudor Submariners were purchased for professional use, during which a large number of them were destroyed. The United States Navy and France’s Marine Nationale, for example, purchased diving watches from Tudor.
