HEUER Skipper regatta chronograph ref.11630

Rare Heuer Skipper regatta chronograph ref. 11630 from the 1980s. Sn.314xxx. Original, glossy dial and original tritium hands, in excellent condition. Recently serviced cal. 15 automatic chronograph movement. The case has not been polished/buffed during maintenance. Flawless mineral crystal. Comes with original Heuer Skipper box.

The regatta timer on the dial has a minute and second hand, and it runs counterclockwise in 5 minute intervals. The chronograph can be used to measure time up to 15 minutes.

The Heuer Skipper sailing chronograph was very different from other Heuer models. The production volumes were very low: the watches were made only to order in series of about 50 pieces. The first Skipper models were ref. 7753 versions. They were made in the 1960s and initially used Heuer Carrera cases. All later versions used Heuer Autavia cases, and some watches even had the same ref. number as the Autavia models.
