HEUER 346 NR GILT CHRONOGRAPH

Rare Heuer ref. 346 NR Gilt chronograph from 1943. Black gilt dial with radium lume is in top condition. Gilded military-style hands with radium lume. Valjoux 71 movement is in like-new condition and has been fully serviced. Hand-made Italian leather strap. Case diameter is 38 mm

Heuer introduced the ref. 346 NR (noir, radium) and 346 AR (argent, radium) models during World War II, in 1943. The movement was a two-register Valjoux 71. This model had a large 38mm steel case. It was one of the first Heuer models which was sealed from moisture. The case back was equipped with an O-ring and was thread-locked. The crown and pushers were also sealed.
