ANGELUS chronograph from the 1940s

Angelus chronograph from the 1940s. Original dial is restored. Hands are of blued steel. Fully serviced Angelus cal. 215 manual wind movement. Hand-stitched Italian leather strap. Case diameter is 36mm.

The watch is not waterproof and does not have an impact protection (inca/kif) mechanism.

The name “Helmi Vaaranto” has been engraved on the caseback. Helmi Vaaranto, née Aikala, was the daughter of Olga Aikala, builder of the Aikatalo building in Helsinki and founder of Kelloliike Aikala, a famous watch shop in Helsinki. It was working from early to mid 20th century.
